PERAN SAVI DALAM MEMBANGUN KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS SISWA INDONESIA: SYSTEMATIC LITERATURE REVIEW

Critical thinking ability is an essential competence in 21st-century learning that needs to be developed through innovative learning models. This study is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) aimed at comprehensively analyzing the effectiveness of the SAVI (Somatic, Auditory, Visual, and Intellectual) learning model in improving students' critical thinking skills across various educational levels. The SLR method was conducted following the PRISMA 2020 protocol (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) with literature searches on four main databases: Google Scholar, DOAJ, Garuda (SINTA), and Semantic Scholar. From 520 identified articles, 30 articles met the inclusion criteria and were thoroughly analyzed. The synthesis results show that the SAVI model consistently and significantly improves students' critical thinking skills with an average effect size of 0.78 (high category) based on meta-analysis. The most influential SAVI component is the Intellectual (I) dimension that encourages reflection and problem-solving, followed by the Visual (V) dimension that strengthens conceptual representation. The novelty of this research lies in mapping the moderator variables of SAVI effectiveness, namely: educational level, subject matter, and technology integration mode, which has never been done systematically before in the Indonesian literature context. The SAVI model is recommended as a core learning strategy in the Merdeka Belajar curriculum for developing the Pancasila student profile, particularly the critical reasoning dimension.
